Changes.. up up up!

A full bright day and a hot weather.. welcome dry season in Indonesia!

Along these days i have many untold stories that changes upon my life, and some new idea to KATUNIKU. I followed a talk show which gave me some ideas, the theme was "From Hobby To Money" and three inspirational speakers who has same vision and background with me, ladies, fashion, and money. They were Lulu Elshasbu, Anggi Maulida, and Siti Juwariyah.

Okay, from what i got at the show the ideas is what people and market needs. I don't really know about bags or shoes, but what from sitistreet.blogspot.com Siti wrote that an outer really helpful for ladies to make a different appearance and covers hands part from using short sleeves or sleeveless clothes. So, I rethink to make a specialty line that provides comfortable and chic outers for ladies. All I have to do is action!

KATUNIKU, a comfort way to be ON

We do believe with our will, soon it's gonna be ready to start. A brand with our passion, a new way to live the way we wear today. A perfect piece of fabric and cut for tropical land yet playful and comfort. Because beauty is not always being pain, beauty is being comfort.

katuniku is from the noun 'katun' (cotton in Indonesia) added with the 'i' letter becoming 'katuni' (in Indonesia means cover with cotton) and 'ku' means me, my, or mine. So, katuniku means cover me with cotton.

The reason we choose cotton to represent this blog because we always love this fabric. Cotton brings cool to our hot tropical season here in Indonesia. As far as we know, there are many kinds of this fabric, such as japan, paris, shantung, viscose, ima, and many more. So many thoughts of cotton does not fit for having fun, not suit to hang out, but hey where do we live? what kind of place are we getting into? what vehicles will take us to that place? Is there any guarantee that the place is quite cool to make sure that the heat won't soak our cloth with itchy acid salty sweat?

This idea came up to our mind, when we realize we are kind of hot blooded organisms who have big sweat gland in my body. And the boredom of those bitchy tacky boring design, especially for young girls. We could create a style, that looks rich but not old, playful but not tacky, cute but not bitchy and the last thing which really considering is the cloth should have also wearable. From those words came out, comfort is the key from this line. I hope our 'gonna be' market would please with our work and this idea would be realization soon.
